Health Equity Series: Partnering with Communities of Color to Mitigate COVID-19

During these unprecedented times, equity and justice must be prioritized in social policy. In addition, understanding the inequality within communities of color can guide the conversation of how to mitigate COVID-19 through various partnerships. Through this webinar, we hope to encourage community-based organizations (CBOs) to work together to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. Through these partnerships, we can create a unified front against inequity and help support the physical, mental, and overall well-being of community members during this time. Join us in the conversation that includes mitigation strategies that can be led in partnership with other community-based organizations.

About the National COVID-19 Resiliency Network (NCRN)

This is webinar is part of a series presented by the Alliance for Strong Families and Communities and Council on Accreditation (COA) in partnership with NCRN, an initiative of the Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM). With the critical goal of improving social determinants through health equity, this partnership will mobilize community-based organizations across the U.S. to mitigate the negative impact of COVID-19 on racial and ethnic minority and American Indian and Alaska Native communities that are disproportionately impacted through disseminating culturally and linguistically relevant resources to the hardest hit communities.

Listen to this episode of the podcast More than Health Care: Nonprofits and Health Care Working Together featuring Dr. Dominic Mack of MSM. Learn more about NCRN and the power that partnerships have in the fight for health equity amid the pandemic.
