The course starts from where you are. Discovering where that is begins with the initial class session. You will learn skills of how to design your life and the multiple “lives” you may engage in along life’s journey. We will utilize the principles and tools found in the course text book, Designing Your Life, and several other sources. We will explore the answers to questions like: 1) How do I find a job and/or meaningful post-career experience that I like or maybe even love? 2) How do I build a career that will make me a good living and still be consistent with my core values? 3) How do I balance my career with my family? 4) How do I make a difference in the world? 5) How can I strike a joyful balance with my health, work, play, love and spiritual life? As a professional, answering those questions for yourself will prepare you as you look to the next 3-5 years of your professional life. On a more personal level, it is never too early to begin asking yourself what I want to do with my life once I am done with my career pursuits.
